Kosovo’s recent elections were marked by tension, with Prime Minister Kurti failing to secure an outright majority. He now faces the challenge of forming a coalition—despite having previously insisted he would rather go into opposition than make such compromises, a position he has since walked back. Separately, normalisation talks with Serbia have stalled, prompting growing concern over the future of the dialogue process. Who will lead Kosovo’s next government? How can the two sides be brought back to the negotiating table? And what might Kosovo’s relationship with a potential Trump administration look like? These are just some of the questions we will explore during our In Conversation With panel featuring former Foreign Minister of Kosovo, Mr Petrit Selimi.
Petrit Selimi is the former Foreign minister of the Republic of Kosovo. He is currently engaged as a private entrepreneur in the digital media and renewable energy sector, as well as a Research Fellow at the Center for Public Diplomacy at University of South California (USC).
An award winning writer, broadcaster, and academic Professor Matt Qvortrup, earned his doctorate in political science at Oxford University. Described by The Financial Times as “a world authority on referendums”, his work straddles politics, social neuroscience and statistics.
