Autumn Budget 2025: IFS analysis

At this event hosted by UK think tank the Institute for Fiscal Studies their researchers will present their initial response to the Autumn Budget.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves will present her much-anticipated Autumn Budget on Wednesday 26th November. With limited fiscal headroom, numerous spending pressures and an expected downgrade in the OBR’s forecast for productivity growth, the Chancellor very likely has a fiscal repair job on her hands. She has hinted that tax rises are on the way, but the Budget itself will reveal the all-important detail.

At an online webinar the following day, Thursday 27th November, IFS Director Helen Miller will provide a response and IFS researchers will present their overnight analysis of the key policy decisions.
