Think tank: UK in a Changing Europe
This event hosted by UK think tank UK in a Changing Europe discusses European security and whether current structures and policies are fit for purpose.
Rapid shifts in global politics have led to an intensified debate about European security.
The war in Ukraine has entered its fifth year; Trump’s erratic foreign policy agenda has called into question the reliability of the US as a defence partner; and the rise of China continues apace.
What, then, are the key threats that Europe faces? What does it need to do to strengthen its capabilities and improve resilience? To what extent will we see European cooperation beyond the European Union? And will countries be able to act with urgency given domestic political and economic constraints?
Join our expert panel as they discuss European security and whether current structures and policies are fit for purpose.
