The UK think tank The Foreign Policy Centre will take part in a conference on political reform, human rights and media freedom in the Gulf.

The Foreign Policy Centre will take part in an all-day conference covering political reform, human rights and media freedom in the Gulf, alongside ALQST: Advocating for Human Rights, DIWAN LONDON, SALAM: For Democracy and Human Rights, Muwatin Media Network and Lancaster University.

This event aims to identify some of the main challenges facing the region, from undemocratic governance to a lack of civic space and free press, highlighting the interdependence of inside and outside levers of change and offering alternative solutions to build the region’s future. It will bring together experts across a range of fields, including politics, academia, human rights and journalism.
