From broadening the curriculum to exposing the Windrush scandal, our work is rooted in challenging structural racism and its impact on our communities. Our authoritative research-based interventions equip decision makers, practitioners and citizens with the knowledge and tools to deliver genuine progress towards racial equality in Britain.
Two years after Black Lives Matter protests swept the streets and the Covid-19 crisis exposed the extent of racial disparities in the UK, this is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of anti-racist work.
If you are passionate about the future of racial justice in this country, this is a unique chance to work for Britain’s leading race equality think tank, shaping and delivering our anti-racist policy work and political engagement strategy.
This role involves leading a high performing team across all aspects of our busy policy function, reporting to the CEO. We are looking for someone who can effectively drive forward and develop our ongoing policy projects, which range from investigating the connection between structural racism and the climate crisis to promoting the teaching of race, migration and empire in schools.
This is a challenging and rewarding role and requires an individual who is well organised, comfortable in different high-stake settings, and is able to combine a detailed grasp of policy with an understanding of the changing debates on race and social justice.
Your job will include:
In addition to the advertised salary, we offer a minimum of 28 days holiday per year, highly flexible working and work location arrangements (with an office located in London) and excellent career development opportunities.
We are committed to providing equal opportunities for everyone regardless of their background. We are particularly keen to receive applications from Black, Asian and ethnically diverse people; disabled people (visible and invisible, mental and physical); people who identify as being LGBTQIA; and people who identify as working class or have done so in the past.
