List of 2025 winners

Listed below are all the 2025 winners and highly commended entries for our 8 main category awards. We have also listed the winners of our 3 more light-hearted ‘honorary mentions’ awards.

The top award! The judges were looking for the think tank that had outperformed during the qualifying period and really grabbed the policy zeitgeist for this year.

The think tanks were tasked with submitting original innovations showing how they were trying something new, across any workstream, with the potential for long-term impact.

This category was open to all people working in think tanks and each think tank could nominate one member of staff for this award. We were looking for people who were excellent in their job but took that to another level beyond that expected of them.

One of the most popular categories! Think tanks were asked to outline an event or series of events that best showed how they used their convening power to achieve momentum or change on a policy issue.

Many think tanks are trying new ways to proactively reach a wider audience. This award recognises those who have effectively knitted together their research with a communications campaign to have a bigger and wider impact.

Open to think tanks set up in the past 5 years this award was looking at those offering a new and exciting voice in the policy sphere and the potential to become an important policy voice and institution in the future.
