Think tank: The Henry Jackson Society
This event hosted by UK think tank the Henry Jackson Society explores what more the UK Government can do to ‘quell the rebellion’ or whether a breakup is inevitable.
The 8th November is the 281st anniversary of the Jacobite invasion of England. Whilst there is no renewed risk of another Scottish invasion, there is a growing threat to the Union with the Leaders of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland having recently met to discuss how they can work together to continue to put more pressure on the UK Government – with the ultimate aim to see the successful breakup of the United Kingdom.
In this event, and in a growing insecure world, especially with growing influence from malign actors from Iran and Russia, this panel will explore what more the UK Government can do to ‘quell the rebellion’, or whether a breakup is inevitable.
