This event hosted by UK think tanks NIESR and UK in a Changing Europe takes stock of what the evidence now tells us about Brexit’s economic effects.
To mark the tenth anniversary of the Brexit referendum, NIESR and the UK in a Changing Europe (UKICE) are organising a short series of public events to take stock of what the evidence now tells us about Brexit’s economic effects, and to consider the implications for the next phase of UK-EU economic relations.
This second event will establish what the impacts have been across regions, sectors and firm types. Has it reduced market competition? Has Brexit increased UK prices and/or made UK prices more sensitive to shocks? What has been the role of labour market frictions, migration, and skills in mediating adjustment? What has the impact been on the City of London?
These issues will be discussed by a panel comprising Sir David Lidington, Adam Yousef (Head of Economics, GLA), chaired by Anand Menon (Director, UKICE).
