26 May 2026, 3:45 pm – 5:45 pm

Location: Scottish Storytelling Centre, 43-45 High Street, Edinburgh EH1 1SR

Think tank: The David Hume Institute

This event hosted by UK think tank the David Hume Institute discusses the results of our quarterly survey data collected just after the Scottish Parliament election.

This event brings you the latest results from the David Hume Institute’s economy tracker produced in partnership with the Diffley Partnership, and reflections from a fantastic panel.

The new data, collected immediately after the Scottish Parliament Election, will be presented by Scott Edgar of the Diffley Partnership. The survey tracks economic confidence and buying intentions over time, as well as helping us to understand and monitor economic attitudes and public opinion.

We will then hear reflections from our panel:

Jane Morrison Ross – Chief Executive of South of Scotland Enterprise

Hannah Blackford – Co-Chair B Local Scotland

Clare Winskill – Executive Chair of NC500.

After the reflections, there will be audience questions and further discussion.

The event will start promptly at 4pm and finish at 5.15pm when there will be further informal discussion refreshments and networking.
