What’s next? Navigating environmental politics after the May elections
14 May 2026, 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Location: Online
Think tank: Green Alliance
This event hosted by UK think tank Green Alliance discusses how the new political landscape will impact environmental politics globally and at home.
A week on from the May elections and with the King’s Speech delivered, join us to digest how this new political landscape will impact environmental politics globally and at home.
This reactive webinar will spotlight the emerging narratives around climate, energy and the wider economy. Our focus will be on what the outcome of the elections tells us about the public and political appetite for environmental action, against a backdrop of global instability and increased household pressures.
This will be in the context of the King’s speech, providing new insight into the government’s priorities and direction for the coming year.
Our panel of experts will unpack all this and more, as well as where the sector goes from here, allowing plenty of time for an audience Q&A.
Speakers
Annabel Rice – senior political adviser, Green Alliance (Chair)
Luke Tryl – executive director, More in Common
