The prime minister has also pledged a ‘green recovery’ from coronavirus and the government has pledged action on climate and nature.
Against this backdrop, Green Alliance commissioned WPI Economics to consider the potential for new green job opportunities across Britain.
It reveals that the areas with the greatest employment challenges, including many across the ‘Red Wall’, have significant potential for new green jobs across Britain, through seagrass planting, tree planting, wetlands restoration and peatland restoration initiatives.
