This report from UK think tank the Centre for Cities looks at the role of regeneration in levelling up.
One of the most eye-catching policies in the Government’s Levelling Up White Paper, published in February, was the announcement that 20 regeneration projects would be rolled out across the UK. So far, Blackpool, Sheffield, and Wolverhampton have been heralded as locations for the regeneration schemes, with London’s King’s Cross redevelopment held up as an exemplar. Centre for Cities’ new report, Making places: The role of regeneration in levelling up, published in partnership with Aviva, sets out how these projects should sit at the heart of the new Government’s agenda to deliver swift, economic growth by attracting private sector investment.
