Think tank: UK in a Changing Europe
This event hosted by the UK think tank UK in a Changing Europe discusses the UK-EU summit one year on.
The world has changed significantly since the inaugural UK-EU summit took place one year ago. Much lauded as ushering in a new era of relations between the two sides, the summit laid out a roadmap for a series of negotiations. A year on, how much has been achieved?
With the UK government pointing to closer alignment with the EU as a way to boost growth, how much appetite is there from the EU side to negotiate this? Is there the potential for further agreements? And with significant domestic and global challenges to deal with, can the UK and EU member states summon the political will to get any deals over the line?
Ahead of the next summit due in June or July, join our online panel of experts as they discuss the UK-EU summit one year on.
